My car is no where near finished, I keep wasting money on stupid things like alto's (you wait till you see it next adam it's had a few mods) all I need now is ebc, computer, motor rebuilt and a slap of paint, and she'll be good to go. I'm in no rush.

You know your gonna have to take me for a strap crimmo, I wanna experience a fast DR.

Watanabe look-alikes would be tough on it. If any of my wheels had actually fitted I would have kept it, but the Watanabes, Enkeis and Longchamps are all too wide. It was going to get a guage last week but the vacuum lines were too hidden for me to be bothered

Oil pump ended up being in decent condition.

Ordered new rod and main bearings (they were a little worn but may as well do them), full gasket set, new chain tensioners and a genuine oil filter or two from God (better known as Stuart Wilkins)

The FJ looks even tougher with the rocker cover off than it does with it on!

The sump ended up being pretty much undamaged, the pics I took must have had weird lighting because its pretty much fine though it does look like the pickup had hit the sump.

Weird... I thought I'd get billed $800+ (assumed the listing of $70 for main bearings and $37 for rod ends was each, plus the gasket set and tensioners)

But my visa was only billed $548.95 today, it doesnt come up with who its billed to, but I assume its SWR.

Does $70 and $37 each for the bearings sound right, or $70 and $37 for the full sets?

OHR30T I'm not chasing parts, I've already ordered everything and it will be arriving on monday. I'm just looking for a sump to replace mine at some point.

slide247 as I said before, I didnt replace the pump, mine ended up being fine. Gears were really good and the housing has only the very very very slightest scoring so its going back in.

Went and looked at all the bits after they had been washed yesterday, the aluminium bits like the housing and the water pump look seriously sexy when theyre shiny
