Hey guys.....

I need some help here... I have a 25 with a brand new garrett gt35r turbo connected to a hks lowmount manifold. When starting the car it runs clean for about 30 seconds then starts choofing out blue smoke. I checked inside the manifold and its nice and clean/dry but the dump pipe is full of oil. I have checked to make sure the oil feed is straight as possible as many have told me to do. I know its not the engine as i have rebuilt it.

So my theory is this... the oil is pressurising in the turbo during startup and then is leaking out though the turbo. I have made a drain pipe but maybe the turbo sits to low? Maybe it is not draining fast enough? Does anybody know if the return in the block needs to be made bigger or it is restricted? Has anyone seen this or had this issue?

Ta Mike

Also i have put a bend in the return pipe, not much of a restriction by eye though....
