RB20-180sx

Hi ppl.

a friend of mine owns a 180sx and ive just picked up an rb20, r32 cross member and maybe a gearbox. Just wanting to know if anyone on this site has ever done an rb-S13 conversion before? And if anyone could give me some advice. He wants it to put out about 300hp to the treads, so i was thinkin about a Plenium, Injectors, About a gt30 garret, Full exhaust, Throttle body, Cams and cam gears, 3" coller piping and a decent sized cooler, and perhaps port and polish the head. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to go off topic first response..

But serious question... Why put the RB20 into the 180? If it already has an SR20DET that is. The SR is a better engine than the RB (imho, watch me get beaten up). More torque straight off the bat, and responds real nice to mods. Not to mention less cylinders to buy stuff for And all those items you mentioned for the RB20 would give the SR20 that sort of power.

Apologies if the 180 doesnt have an SR20DET in it atm, in which case I can understand the decision.

As for the conversion, I know 'Eisbear' on boostcruising has an RB20 powered S13, he may be able to help you out with the details of what parts have been used to make it fit.

i did it .....simply because it was cheaper to get the rb then an sr(i blew the sr that was in there)
