Exhaust limiting factor?

Where abouts along the factory exhaust system is the limiting factor? Which part of the standard R33 exhaust system reduces the most flow?

I think it must be the cat right? The reason I'm asking is I'm tempted to upgrade the front half of my exhaust (dump/front and hiflow cat) before I upgrade my cat back system.

Is this the wrong way to do it?

mine is cat back and that helps heap I would go that way first and put a hiflow cat on your car .

almost the entire exhaust is limiting. There are LOTS of bends and its very thin. My exhaust does not have 1 45 degree bend in it... it made a HUUUGE difference. Its basically straight back from the turbo, minimal bends and BIG ASS diameter.
