Muffler Query

hey guys

just wondering if i had a muffler inlet of 4 inch and outlet of 4.5 inch, would i lose any power or torque?

i think i have got a 3 inch cat back pipe but have standard muffler and wanting to change for less restriction.

3" in loud with power. 3.5" is louder but with slightly more power. 3.5" + is wayyyy too loud.

ive heard an R33 with a 4inch piping exhaust... and it was just waaaaay too loud.

depends on the muffler design.. not the end tip size..

for 300-400hp 3inch is easily effiecient enough. any bigger and i would expect a little lag?? any ones opinion differ?

JASMA isnt a brand... its the Japanese something something something something lol cant remember it off the top of my head but its basically saying its passed the JASMA tests... iie. its not too loud
