well 4 those that stick around u would know how pised i am,

last run of the nite, doing 170Kms at the end of the track and what happens, my bonnet flys up smashing my windscreen, putting a massive dint the size of my roof, and smashing my bonnet

F**K S**T C**P GGGGGGR      NOT HAPPY JAN

Ouch - So what was your best ET of the night Craig?

f**k me drunk. that's ghey. I'm guessing you didn't have it closed properly? Were you driving?

I'm sure it won't be a write off, may not be cheap though... bummer.

such a shame..saw this car have a few runs..was there till the end but didnt see the incident. sorry to hear that mate...was the bonnet a carmate carbon special? or quality? leason for all...when going to light weight bonnets invest in some $10 bonnet pins.

all the best..hope not too much damage was caused.

what is ur best E.T so far?

also anyone see/know the young guy in the white R34 GTR running 12.0 (claimed to be all std)?

my best et is 13.4, with wheel spin all through 1st and 2nd, 2.5 60 footers

It might not be a right off but if the structral damage on the rail on the roof are bent it will be.

The car is capable of 12.5's but the 60footers are killing me.

Well it will probably be my last time in my GTST - next time you see me i might be in a GTR.

Ill keep u updated on the ststus if its getting fixed or not.

Chao

sorry to hear Eav00l, at least your ok, good luck with it. Were you driving the car at the time? Would of made me crap all the colours of the rainbow if my bonnet flew up at those speeds...

what did the guy mean in the r34 about it being all std? Did he mean to say std turbos still? Good to see it roaring down the track though...

Eav00l i was returning down the strip when your bonnet flew up. Saw it just go! How did it happen? were you using pins or the standard latch? Who else was there last night? I managed a best time of 13.0 and 177km/h

also i was making around 12.1 60 footers... That a good time? I have cheap street tyres and suspension is cut? What is the best for a rwd street car?

Well an up and down night for me.

I did everything the same in this run as I did for my 14.009 which was a extremely light burnout (no smoke), 3000rpm launch and tried to nail the gears the whole way. It felt good but obviously not good enough.

Forgot to turn my Aircon off haha. Got held up just behind the cars doing the burnout infront of me and completely forgot to turn it off, didnt even realise until I did the U-turn at the top of the track haha. Did my burnout from 4500rpm (instead of 3000rpm) and launched from 4000rpm. I found 2nd gear abit tight but overall it wasn't too bad.

Launched at 5,000rpm and just couldn't get it in 2nd gear, took me 3 goes. Got my highest ET ever :(

No burnout at all, just drove around the water. Launched from 5,000rpm with very slight wheelspin. Found 2nd gear tight again.

Interesting night with the Nitto's. Chirped every gear the entire 1/4 and they have great grip even with no burnout at all. Found the car extremely bouncy in the rear end with the Nitto's. They can hold a heap more rpm off the lights which is great but my clutch didn't like this too much, not sure if it was just the heat, stress or the high rpm.

I'll be back there next week even if I don't have a grin on my face :D

Edit: My mph is down due to the different tyre sizes.

Michelin 225/50/16 = 198.27cm

Nitto 245/50/16 = 204.59

So that means 100mph on the Nitto's is 103mph on the Michelin's.
