one point to remember, the auto rb25 engines have a little bush (collar) thing in the back of the crank. which the auto shaft slides onto. well this collar needs to be removed from the crank before the manual can go on

Nope, but you do need to remove the RB25 intake plenum.

The easier way around this all is to just remove the entire engine, swap the gearbox with the engine off the car and do all the required drilling and fitting for the clutch master/lines and then put the engine/gearbox back in one go...

Well I wasn't going to do it that way but realising that I'm going to have access to a hoist & gearbox jack and I have to drill the hole for the clutch master cylinder, its probably the best way to go. It'd probably take me an hour & a half to undo the gearbox bolts in which time I could probably drop the whole front subframe out anyway. Cheers

The type S Stagea uses a

Stagea clutch pedal, approx $80 Aust. thru Nissan, they are diiferent to R33 & R34

R34 clutch master cylinder, not sure about lines

R33 Brake pedal

I have bought these 3 items for mine

I measured up a R34 console and thought it may be possible to use, but it will take a fair bit of playing around to get it right around the gear stick surround

I think I would prefer to remove the dash before the engine, it would quicker and easier to do, aslong as you can the master cylinder in. It is pretty tight behind the inlet plenum.

i recon the engine is easier to remove than the dash, and ive done both plenty of times.

dash has about 50 screws/bolts and when i did it i didnt know where they were which took me ages to work out, but with the stagea service manual should help

I have the parts, but the my camera is still getting repaired (been 4-5 weeks)

The pedal came with the rubber foot pad, but no bolts

I know its not a precise measurement or comparison but my R34 pedal looks identical to that in the picture. We shall see I suppose

I got a s/hand one out of JP and cost me nearly that much

Hey guys.

$150 there abouts to modify your auto one with a manual gear souround , move the coin holder and a slot for the handbreak

in a few weeks ill get them todo mine and we will see how it go's but for a example of work . this is a picture of my friends dinn slot they put in for his liberty

I am doing the manual converison this weekend (yes I will try to get as many photos as possible) but I just want to make 100% sure that I can use the Stagea auto driveshafts (front & rear) and crossmember. I have measured the auto box vs the manual box & the crossmember lines up at the same point but can someone please confirm this for me?

hey mate yes the stagea front propshaft and rear tailshaft fit no problems. both boxes are indentical in lengths

im 99.999999% sure the stagea auto x-member fits up too as they are the same as the manual ones (i did mine 18 months ago so my memory is not the best), so just have a look if the gearbox rubber mount is the same as the manual one and if it is then it will fit for sure.
