Car problem - HELP!!!!

Hi Guys,

my rb25det has a terrible idle problem!

when in neutral @ the traffic lights, my car usually idles @ around 700-800 rpm...last week or so, its been dropping to a point where the car practically stalls, ALL MY REDS show up etc, & under slight acceleration(load) in 2nd & 3rd gear, the car hesitates, jerks & actually begun to misfire like a gun shot last night dropping gears from 3rd down to 2nd??

My mechanic checked & replaced spark plugs...checked EMS, everything fine, no problem showed up..

He was charging me $80 p/hr to figure out the problem, & i have now taken the car home, cause he couldn't find out my problem & i cant throw money @ him to still have my car shit!

Yeah, check the coils!

They should measure 0.7ohm's each.

You have to measure between the first two pins.

I could be wrong but that's what i'd check next!

take a look at the stickies in general maintenance and forced induction performance sections. all your answers are hopefully there

Also, check battery/alternator.
