Spot the parts????

Can anyone tell me what this is! it has a disconected hose at one end blocked up with a bolt and connects to a Vaccum line at the other....

In the image above (I gather you can see it) I have placed and oval line around and item I have found mounted on my strut tower and wish to know what it is, but I gather by your comments GR33DyMANGO you cant see it mmmm:(

Some one said it could be a boost controller, yeah I will agree with anyone at the moment, if so were does the hose to no were go and 2 how is it managed should there be some sort of electronic adjuster????? grasping at straws here:looney:

The item in the large oval is either your factory boost solenoid or your fuel pressure regulator.

I would guess your factory boost solenoid, but would need a large overview of your enginebay to confirm this...

Do you have aftermarket boost control? e.g. Electronic Boost Controller? This would explain why your factory solenoid has been rendered inoperable by plugging off it's vacuum lines.

Yup... That's your factory boost solenoid.

Since it's been blocked off, you must be running some kind of aftermarket boost control.

You can find it by going to your wastegate actuator (hanging off your turbo's exhaust housing) and following the vacuum lines coming off that until you hit something that looks interesting.

Nope !! I have a short bit of hose going from the actuator to the Compressor no controller. I just bought a MBC to put in there as it had nothing, now I gather I have one. How does it work???? I gather the factory one would be a fixed unit only runs 7lb:(
