PVP Imports are pretty decent. I took my 180 there before I sold it.

I've had bad experiences with Main North Nissan; I won't tell u not to go there because that would leave me open to be sued. I'll just say I definitely won't be going there in the future....

chalon, you took your import to a DEALER?! dude, if i BOUGHT a car from a dealer i wouldnt take it there for servicing (after the free services!)

Everyone must know that dealers are more expensive than garages, and SO not necessarily better! Usually you get what you pay for. This isnt true with dealers as they do everything by "the book" ie a job will be listed as taking an amount of time, say 1/2 hour, and even if the job takes them 5 minutes, you will be charged the 1/2 hour price, and the dealer will give the mechanic a bonus.

If you want a place that knows skylines, Tillbrook auto and dyno is your place. They arent the cheapest, but you dont want to skimp on your line and let some grease monkey do a backyarder job!

it really depends on what you need doing. If you are just getting a 5000km oil change done anyone can do that, find someone close who seems decent. However for larger services 100,000km probably take it to a larger workshop.

Where do you live it may help recommend someone close.

Yes, my name is Alan funnily enough. I don't tend to sign off with other ppls names :(

I didn't actually buy my car from Main North Nissan or PVP. I only took it there as I had seen GTR's being serviced there and figured they had a decent backup etc for parts. I forgot about the bit where they have lots of mechanics, varying in experience etc and more often than not it is the inexperienced ones who do most of the work on your car. Martin Sniedze, who's really cluey on 180's, recommended Rob from PVP and he really has been fantastic. He's not one of these dodgey import places that only care about making a fast buck.

PVP is just around the corner from Tilbrook's actually, both close to me. I considered taking it there, but when PVP have been doing such a good job for me I don't think it's worth taking it there for general servicing. For anything big (ECU changes, turbo swaps etc) I'd probably go there tho.
