Max capacity of rb26 bored out

Just wondering what the maximum you can bore a rb26 out to is and what does it bring the capacity out to.

Can you reach 2.72 litres without a stroker kit?

it's not a smart thing to bore out an RB26 too much if you want decent power and reliability

i wouldnt resort to boring out those blocks to increase capacity. Get proper stroker kit if it means that much to u. U will be hurting when u pull some decent numbers with your 87.5 or whatever bore size and cracko. Or if there to small in general they will have poor heat disapation and the engine will run hot. Standard bore is 86 mm

Up to 87mm i would go and no further. Thats if your going for 500 + at wheels. cheers.
