Spec S ?

Spec R ?

I think your confused a little.

Japan:

Spec R - SR20DET

Spec S - SR20DE

Australia:

Spec S - SR20DET

Spec R - SR20DET + rear spoiler + side skirts + sunroof + 6 cd stacker

So in Japan, Spec R is the turbo version while Spec S is the NA.

In Australia, both Spec S and R are turbo.

I have owned both too.

I actually like the interior of a 180, except for the seats. I think the long raked dash is pretty sporty and cool. And you seem to sit deeper in these cars, the centre console is higher.

But when I drove a mates skyline it just felt right. The suspension, the steering everything just felt better. So I found myself one.

I will go back to a 180 one day though. It will have my engine in it though. :burnout:

Can i just say (engines aside) that the Skyline is definetely the best looking of the lot inside and out! And it pulls more chicks!

If there was no such thing as a Skyline (god forbid) then i would go 4 a s14 or s15 and as 4 ppl who reckon that Skylines r 2 common they will never b as common as Lancers Excels Commodores and Falcons and u can personalise Skylines with a thousand different things like bodykits!

:D

Hooray 4 Skylines

33Spec2, couldn't have said it better myself! ;) Nothing wrong with 180SX or 200SX (I considered getting both of these too), but the Skyline's just got more class I reckon. All of my girlfriend's friends think my R33's got more class than 180SX's and 200SX's. It is a bit of an ego boost, though they do put me in my place when they see a Ferrari :):D

If I wanted a faster car for less money, I would have gotten a modified VL turbo.

i think the best comparison is when the gtst and silvia are in stock form. after my initial 1000km, my stock s15 chopped a stock r33 gtst (AIR4S1) in a quarter mile. the power to weight ratio was the deciding factor. even now with exhaust and airfilter, my s15 continue to surprise a lot of gts' and even GTRs!!! :D

....and when it comes to looks.....it's just personal preferences..although when i cruise with my skyline friends...the s15 draws more looks than my friend's R34 GT-T ;)
