hey guys - your help on this would be very much appreciated..

i just replaced the clutch on my R32 to a exedy extra heavy duty organic clutch.. however when the mechanic fitted it on he also told me that the clutch master cylinder & slave cylinder needs to be replaced. there is a slight leak above the clutch pedal and when the clutch is engaged to change gears while the car is started it doesnt go in smoothly at all, u realy need to crunch the gear stick to push it into gear....

i suppose im wanting to get an idea whether this has happened to anyone else when they replaced their clutch... also do u guys have a general idea on how much a master & slave cylinder will cost. the mechanic says that it shudnt be any more dat $200 or so... is he ripping me off or what?

when he changed the clutch he also changed the rear main seal, machined the fly wheel... now he is sayin that i also need these 2 things. if you guys have a rough idea on prices this would be very very much appreciated...

I got my clutch master from BHSS. It cost me $75. Dunno about the slave but it should be cheaper than that. Is a very common problem. The brake master tends to go on them also so watch your fluid levels regularly.

The clutch master and slave can be changed in less than half an hour.
