R32 GTR 89 Speedo Cable sticky low Speed

just joined but can't see specific info on this subject .

Can just reach back of speedo cable ( very difficult ) - does not feel like screw type counter clockwise fitting . Trying to take off with view of lubing cable inner . Maybe fitting is just push on - pull off ??

Do i need to remove whole instrument panel - if so will speedo cable attachment prevent me from pulling gauge panel out wards ??.

When you remove the speedo cable, be careful not to let the washer and spring run down the cable. Happened to me and was an absolute PITA to get the spring and washer back.
