CRD tuned my GTS-t and I found it drove better than the previous tune. I found Jim helpful and good at explaining things, although to avoid confusion, be as specific as you can when detailing the works needed to be carried out.

Lance is a bit of an A-hole though..........

$800 is very very fair for a quasi fiberglass/faux carbon bonnet.

Don't pull prices out of your rear end without some kind of justification.

Other tuners can also do a good job for example at UAS.

How about you read posts properly before you jump in to correct people Tony?

Oh because I'm the only one to make that mistake...

>allright, thx a lot guys for your advices.

>does anyone know where can i get the carbon fibre bonnet for R32 GTR?

person 1

>have a look here

person 2

>you think that's expensive????

>try buying a proper carbon fibre bonnet

person 3

>seconded. Adam and Ben certainly know what they're doing.

I apologise otherwise.

About what CRD charge... sometimes I hear it's $600, $700 and up.

Ask what others charge for a dyno tune. Just because CRD are alleged to be the best, doesn't mean others aren't as professional.

You gotta ask yourself what you want to achieve. It's not about achieving the highest rwkW.

Some people believe that perhaps a dyno tune then a follow up road tune is what's needed.

You can spend a good half of a day doing this. Also you might want someone who has access to the laptop s/w instead of just the hand controller.

i dropped my car off for 2 days, $600 later (or was it $500) and the car is mickey mouse.

i've had it back once for a slightly high knock (55)

I suppose 'mickey mouse' is bad?

If you motor is of sound condition, good compression, 55 on the HC knock counter is not acceptable.
