The site will be upgraded to VB 3.0.7 over the next few days and some new features and options will be added then also.

i think this is more related to all the database problems that sau and ns.com have been having (host related, not site related). whenever they both have problems at the same time u know its the host falling over

yea seems to be taking ages to open pages plus connecting to sau seems to time out a bit too. i guess a site that generates as much traffic as this one does its to be expected.

it's nothing to do with server load, it's to do with server optimisation methinks.

if overclockers can run fine VBB with some 500+ users on at any one time, see no reason why it can't here. There configuration is just a Athlon 2800MP dual processor system with 1.5gb RAM... and another P4 3ghz w/ 1gig..

very basic in today's terms... you could pickup such systems for under $1k..

I'm willing to pay a donation again to get more speed..

the box sau is hosted on hosts many other sites (eg ns.com) - its not like ocau that only host one site.

surely the deal sau have guarantees some level of performance of the server? can it just run like a dog half the month and you have to put up with it?
