Guys, just to let you know, I had my std t3 highflowed through Dan's contact, all I can say is the quality of the work is outstanding, this guy really knows what he is on about, and Dan went completely out of his way to pick my turbo up, and drop it back within 5 days!! I could not recommend going through Dan enough, top bloke, very trustworthy.

Quick turn around, and the prices are competitive on highflows, but the prices on any GT series garrett can't be beaten I dont think :D

Thanks again Dan.

Yeah, im mistaken. GTRS is for SR engines so at this stage, if i can get the details for the garrett equivalent for the HKSGT2835 Pro S (0.68 A/R)

That turbo has a T3 Exhaust housing flange...I'm pretty sure your car has the T2. Can you confirm this?

Cheers, I did look but must have missed it.

How do I go about ordering one ? I am after the 0.96 rear housing .

When do you expect delivery.

Just tell me you want one and I'll make it happen. Expect delivery within two months. Honeywell are giving everyone the stuff around and have run out of stock. I have a couple of other people waiting on some 35R's and a couple of 30R's also. There is a bit of a longer wait for the 40 and 42R's. I suspect, though, for the price I am offering you would probably be happy to wait. Did you need it right away?

They will be arriving at around 8 weeks time so I'll get them to keep one aside.

OK, on a seperate note, the CATALOGUE has arrived. The rep dropped it out to me today. Now I can tell you all the combos available. They also have intercoolers (bar and plate) that they do.

I don't know prices on these just yet but a rough estimate for a 16" x 10" x 4" with 400% effectiveness and 0.4 psi pressure drop should be about $500. I will have to confirm this ofcourse, if anyone shows interest. They are available in MANY MANY sizes, so just ask if you want to know.

Hey daniel, how are you?

I have a R32 GTS-T and I want to upgrade my turbo, as it sits now its a stock turbo!

I would like to get a hi flowed steel wheel sucker in side! I dont know much about the turbo stuff so ill try to answer your questions!

How much horsepower/kilowatts do you want? 300 bhp

What are you using the car for? street

When do you want boost roughly? 2200/2500 sounds good

Do you want power early or late in the rev range early

What Mods 3" man bent cat back(trust) exhaust, If you can get the bigger front pipe whould be sweet as well! normal cpu, normal intercooler, turbo smart bov..

Obviously,93 R32 GTS-t

Intercooled? standard small sucker

Still running AFM or upgraded or no longer there normal AFM

Custom exhaust manifold or standard. standard

External wastegate or internal(limited to virtually 450hp)? what ever the standard one is

I hope that helped, like the only reason im getting another is cause it should have been rebuilt at 80,000k but now its over 97,000ks .. so i want to get another and it to have more balls and stuff..

what do you think i should get? i have about $1,200 to spend.

thank you so much for your time,

kezza

To get 300bhp you are gonna need a bigger intercooler to start with. Your fuel pump might be ok but when you start pushing it, unless it's bigger than the standard one...it won't handle the task. A highflow is going to probably cost you a smidge more than that but that's not to say much more. It depends on the condition of your existing turbo. All up you would be looking at around $3200 to achieve your 300bhp. You could push your engine with the standard intercooler but with the increased air and probably increased boost, you will quickly destroy your engine. The more you compress the air, the more it heats up...you need to remove that heat, or transfer it as an intercooler does, to prevent your intake temps from increasing dramatically. With the larger quantities of air you also need more fuel and that's where your pump comes in. Sorry to be naggy. I can get your turbo highflowed but I would hate for you to get it done and destroy your beautiful engine.

Hey daniel

Just a quick check for now to see how much money I need to spend

Oh sorry bro, i didnt mean that i expect the car to reach 300bhp with just the turbo hi flowed!! 300bhp is what i want to reach when every thing is done!

At this point of time i am doing things to keep the car running tip top!

eg. getting a new clutch, new diff, new split fire coil packs and i need to get the turbo looked at!! I think its in good nick cause it doesnt make any bad noises and it holds 12PSI all the way up to 7grand, but... still, if they are ment to be looked at every 80,000 km and my car has done 97,and a bit . I should get it done!

so do i have to send you my old one to get it done? or what do you think i shoud do?

Daniel,

I've got a 34 gtt with full 3" zorst, pod, bov, apexi avcr boost control, power fc, trust fmic.

I want a bolt on turbo (no mods required for intercooler plumbing or dump either)

Can you give me a price for the HKS GT-RS R34 kit (supposedly comes with all lines and fittings and bolts etc.) or another turbo suggestion. I would like 220rwkw with sensible boost (1 bar) and the provision for more if i uprgrade my fuel system.

Nengun.com has the GTRS turbo for $2800 delivered....

Thanks for your time, Paul

((p.s do you know a chick called sheree with a harlequin r33 '91RLY' - I'm sure last time I spoke to her she reccomended a guy called Daniel to speak to about turbos - I seem to remember she mentioned MR. Turbo..is this anything to do with you???))

To just do a rebuild would be only about $600 but for the steel wheel conversion and all the good internals you would need $1600. This turbo would then be capable of handling 18psi boost and rated at around 430 hp.

Yes you would have to send the turbo to me and it would cost about $18 I think. Maybe cheaper.

Yes I do know Sheree. She is a dancer from memory or used to be I think. Anyway, before I say too much more I would like to state for the record that I don't know her through these channels.

Moving on.....

I have nothing to do with MR Turbo as he $%cked my first one over 4 years ago and it cost me $2000.

I think she might be talking about another Daniel but he probably wasn't as good looking as me or nearly as smart.

I'll get back to you on the question above.

    • Reasonably hard, although I haven't run it with the new Endless setup yet. The old brakes were F50's on 335mm rotors and the car did a 1:40.6 at Phillip Island which is a reasonable time, I'm seeing high 600s on the temperature paint. A guy I know ran the Endless fluid at WTAC without issues and he was doing 1:33's I think (Evo) with a 355/332 setup. I don't get out to the track as much as I'd like but we put the car on the hoist and spanner check every bolt and re-paint mark everything, bleed the brakes, change the fuel, check the coolant system and re-bleed blah blah blah before every event. Motorsport is expensive, RB's are expensive so a couple of hours before an event is time well spent. It's also a net time saving because if you can keep your RB from self destructing it saves you time in the long term!
    • Welcome Alice......hope you have a bit more luck from here on! What was done in the build?
    • Hello! I'm new here, I have an R33 GTST that is currently being finished up! Last year was pretty rough, blew two stock turbos so I decided to build the car. Has been down since November, but I get it back next weekend!
    • Hello, I believe my car was imported to America in the 2000s by Kaizo Industries. Would anyone be able to help me find more info on them? I've only found all the basic stuff like that paul walker bnr34, them being shutdown by feds, just stuff like that. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
    • I am using Motec M150.  I am not working on the car myself actually.  My workshop is giving all these info, they are quite reputable in the industry and are very familiar with Motec and RBs and have done a few big setups with VCam and single turbo on RBs.  In fact, they built and tuned my engine from day one.  But they are stumped with my engine at the moment and cannot work out how come the compression is so low with the VCam. They told me that they have now swapped in some Kelford cams (without the VCam) and can achieve around 130psi compression and the low end torque is better, but now the engine is doughy as.  It boosts and peaks at more than 1000rpm slower, with twin HKS GTIII RS, it doesn't get full boost until over 5000rpm. I have always thought the VCam was a bit disappointing at the low rpm. To a point I had to ride the clutch a fair bit to get up a small hill from stand still.  That was when I had a clutch.  Now changing to a 8HP, I don't have that luxury and this problem has become a major issue. I am beginning to think the VCam never work since the day it was installed.  Maybe it was just sitting at the most advanced point, that is why it went good at top end but very ordinary at the bottom.  Therefore, with the help of the Holinger 6 speed and paddle shift, as long as it was moving, it drove pretty good.
