Well I just went and cleaned it and gave myself a bit of a surprise; it is actually a Trust cooler not the stocker. Obviously replaced in Japan before the car got here. Trust is stamped on the top and bottom.

However since this is much much bigger(and also worth alot more) than the stock 34 cooler I am going to make the price $250 ono and buyer pays postage.

Pictures linked, you can barely make out the Trust stamping due to the flash on the camera but if you look closely it is there.

I'm interested, but do you have a better pic it, one with the logo? That picture doesn't really do it justice if it is a Trust cooler. Also, what are the measurements..

Cheers.

I am very interested!

Measurements would be good so I know just how much bigger/thicker than my stock GTT one. Happy to pay freight. Not sure if it will bolt straight onto 33 but if it came off your 34 then it will fit mine 100% :)

Thanks

Ok heres some better pictures showing the stamping on the top and bottom. Ignore the dirty garage carpet. :)

Size of the core is 240mm long x 190mm high x 100mm thick.

Unfortunately thats a bit of a "How long is a piece of string?" question.

As it is a much thicker core you should expect some power gain, and less heat soak, however the exact % will vary for each car.

The intercooler is not the limiting factor in how much boost you can run, its the turbo and all the support systems. For reference though, I was running 13psi on it with no issues.

Gtrghostdog,

Yes the cooler would be more than adequate for that setup. You will need the short 90 degree pipe and a silicon reducer and two clamps as well. These are included in the price.

But Razorsharp is in the process of putting a deposit down so if that falls through I'll let you know.

the IC should come with a small bracket that bolts to the rail, the 90 elbow, the rubber/silicon hose (AFAIK it is not a reducer and is rubber) and the various bolts and nuts. the IC bolts straight up to an R33 with a bit of fussing around. ducting the bugger takes a bit time but worth the extra effort.

Hey pushhead, did you have to modify anything or was it a direct fit?

Also, how much is postage to SA?

Can you find out asap, as I am quite keen.

for an R33 GTS-T with M-Spec front bar, I did not have to modify anything at all. Remove stock intercooler and replace it directly with this. I haven't dyno my car to compare it with the stockies but I can tell you it felt like the turbo spool faster. I'm very surprised that no one actually jump in and buy this quickly. For $250 this is too cheap seriously. dont want to spoil anything but errr these cost just abit less than a trust front mount assuming trust front mount are $1500 new these go for $1100 roughly new.

I was next in line if the deal with Razorsharp falls through!

I am very keen to buy this and have the money ready and waiting!!!

Gtrghostdog would be after me technically.

    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
    • Ok so I have sorted everything with my uniclutch and  i can offer up a bit of feedback and some things that might help others.    I found problems with factory damper line. Weird shit and had trouble with peddle adjustment    I used this https://au.gktech.com/products/r33-gts-t-skyline-braided-clutch-line?_pos=2&_sid=22b01b9b9&_ss=r Also when adjusting peddle leave a bit of play. You can get into a over stroke condition easy.. Make sure you can push the slave forward after adjusting to confirm fluid can return to master then you will need to pump it up heaps…..not sure why but that’s how it is.    last thing the splined adapter is machined perfectly. If your input shaft is old like mine was I would put a bit of valve grinding paste on it and stroke it like a 15 year old. Just to give it a tad more clearance and to better match it to the spline.    reason is on a near flat shift I have had situation where the peddle returns a millisecond after you lift from the clutch. No slip or anything but I reckon this is due to tolerance on the spline being way tighter than stock clutch and binding for a sec. I think this will go away but also my spline was old. Box is old so I guess I should have checked better. It’s a super neat fit.    it feels light as and holds awesome without any noise
