Okay, we said we needed one, so here it is.

The sometimes unbelievable quotes from punters at the GP

Kids walking behind Jacks 240Z

"Man what's that"

"It's an old Porsche"

"Bullchit its an old Porsche"

"Yeah it is"

"No it's not"

Then he gets my attention.

"Hey dude, What's that car?"

Me. "It's an Alfa"

"See, I told you it wasn't an old Porsche"

"Is that a second engine??" -- Kid asking bout the 2 fuel pumps and the HICAS ECU in the boot of my car...

Bloke 1: "617rwkw!!! Fark!!! That's a lot from a single turbo"

Bloke 2: "Where's the turbo?"

Bass Junky talking to person in reference to my car:

BJ: "This car will beat a V8 and a formula 1 car in a drag race!!"

P: "Are you sure?? How fast does a F1 cover a quarter?"

BJ: "Low 11's...."

Everyone around BJ: "You're full of it!"

BJ walks away head down.

Pete: Yep, this car makes about 1050 horsepower at the engine with a 100 shot of NOS.

Punter: Why don't you use a 150 shot of NOS.

Pete: Is 1000+ horsepower not enough for you?

How come you only have one NOS bottle? Why isn't it under the seat? You've only got one NOS button, that's crap - you should have 2!

My car does 7's... well maybe not 7's... well you know, 11's... 11.9, 13 - stuff like that... It's in the garage, its not running at the moment.

Us: About 1050 horsepower.

V8 Lover: I've got a KB512 in my shed. Goes from 0 to 180 kph in 0.86 seconds. Makes 7500 horsepower. Built it in a chook shed.

Us: How do you drive that down to the shops?

Bogan: Yeah, but I am only interested in the torque,…. So is the curve like flat, or is a curve like that (bogan air draws the curve)

cos if you have flat torque curve the car keeps pulling in each gear……….

Bogan: SO what motor is it?

Us: 2JZ

Bogan: Is it a twin cam ????

Another bogan:

Bogan: How much power does your 240z make

Us: 220rwkw

Bogan: My cousin got a 260z and it makes 221rwkw

There were two blonde birds walking out in front of us at the end of the race talking about Michael.

At this point my g/f said they were giving blondes a bad name and we moved further into the crowd so as not to hear anymore.

Then fast-forward about 45mins while Leewah was trapped talking about Torque Curves hehe. James could have saved him earlier but I guess there was a beer or 2 in the way :P

You're a bastard Leewang!!! Pete was working the crowd with all day, then the poor bastard gets 5 people at once saying he's full of shit hehe.

On the Saturday, Jack, Leewah and I were sitting in his car away from the elements and looking across there were these 2 kids taking photos of those Fast and Furious Lancers. One of them kneeled next to the car and was kissing his biscep while asking his mate to take a photo! Did anyone else see that shit? :uhh:

And Ash saying he didn't want anymore booze on Saturday morning has to rank up there!!!

Was a good couple days, except the rain on Saturday heh. Altho if it went any longer than 4 days, chances are Troy would end up in a Coma :P

      I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)

      Yeah, having tried all of those methods including BBQ+recipro/hacksaw, I ended up buying a bush press kit under $150 that works well, like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355967727167?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=sfmmuhxgqhm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=dJvnaZ11TB-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY It basically has a range of pushers and cups with threaded rods between to press out a range of large bushes. The problem with any sawing solution is minimising damage to the subframe side, although it probably needs a quick sand afterwards no matter what solution you try due to damage

      Hi. Thanks for the answer. I do not have instagram 😄 I too considering turbo the RB20DE NEO 🙂 But i think i upgrade the gearbox first or at least buy new.

      Just pulled the passenger apart so got a good idea, also the side bracket that pivots the top half is completely cooked.. how I don’t know.. haha and paid $400 also included a photo of the passenger seat! She is mint
