Hi guys,

As the title suggests...what is the average life span of a twin plate clutch ?

I know there are a lot of factors involved, including the driving style etc....

but how long SHOULD they last ?

is 12-18 months too short a life span for a twin plate clutch ?

I was really set on getting a twin plate to handle the power I was after, but right now I cant justify spending $2.5k to get a twin plate installed if its only going to last 12-18 months.

If they do indeed have such short life spans I think ill go for a super coppermix and hope for the best.

im going to report moans to the CPB, the clutch protection board.. they care and look after abused clutches :)

i even then shes gone to the lenght of modifying her cluch pedal so its impossible to fully disengage the clutch so its always slipping... EVILLL

hehehe just kiddin moans..

im looking at a twin plate so it would be interesting to see the lifespans of other forum members !

Spill peeps! Spill those proverbial beans! But don't expect anyone to clean them up afterwards. If you're prone to spilling food stuffs, like beans, it might be a good idea to invest in a friend with a dog that likes eating beans. Then cleanliness is only a phone call away.
