Hey everyone,

i've just installed my z32 afm on my r32 rb20det and i've made the selection to the VG30 option under air flow but i've found that the car now jumps around at idel....from 700 to 900 too 1000 then back again. It seemed ok with the stock afm, anyone have any ideas why this happened??? The car is still running on the base map until next week.

Any ideas anyone???

Thanks

George

Also go into map trace mode and have a look at what cells it jumps around at.

Make sure adjacent cells (in the idle area) have the same fueling and ignition values.

You may find that changing AFM has moved the idle into different cells (probably along the load axis which is defined by the AFM output).

i was so eager beaver to get it in and the car running i didnt bother cleaning it. Should i just use electrical contact cleaner?

I use brake cleaner, but anything that doesn't leave a residue is OK. So NOT carby cleaner.
