Recommended Posts

hmmm 15's and 16's with a standard R33 GTS-T don't know whats going on there, i used to own a 1990 Honda Civic 3 door hatch with just a modded air filter and upgraded cam shaft and i made that go 17.9 or close to and damn my skyline is slightly modded is helll more powerful.

hmmm,

it would be interesting to see what my car would do,

i have a 4 door r32 with a rb20det mods are cooler, pod, and 3" cat back, running 0.8 bar boost,

do u think suspension mods would help with a lower time?

i have fully adjustable coilovers all round and a set of advan racing tyres on the rear, so hopefully with suspension set up rite it will lower times.

what should a:

R33 AUTO, 12PSI boost, stock turbo, intercooler, etc, dragger exhaust, run??

I have only done a rough estimatin, i.e, pulled over, got out my stop watch, and timed as soon as i accelerated...it was around 15's...is that right? I can launch it very well

my stock (ok had a pod but it wasnt heatshielded) CA18DET auto silvia ran a 15.1......with 92rwkw, lol

i got beaten by R32's with zorst,pod......similar to dead stock ones

so low 15's i would think....and into the 14's with zorst/pod/boost and into the 13's with FMIC/more boost

    • Un able to check it at idle as it won’t idle for me long enough to try, best I’m able to do is with ignition on engine off and no matter where I turn the tps the voltage doesn’t change from 5.10, if I unplug afm it will idle longer but won’t turn off with ignition, have since swapped afm to no real change

    • Sorry to sound thick....but what does the "faceplate" have to do with adjusting the odometer? Surely the odo stays put and you change the fascia. Surely they are not the same thing.
    • I know its been 13 years since this topic, but it came up when i was searching to fix my problem so thought i would add my 2cents in and how i fixed my issue.  my r33 had air coming out off all the vents except the center one. i went straight down the rabbit hole expecting it to be a mechanical issue, pulled the dash apart tracing lines, checking linkages etc. it turned out the very fine fly screen mesh behind the center vent was actually VERY blocked so when i had the air on face the air would take the path of least resistance and come out the 2 side vents but allow nothing out the center vent. a quick clean fixed the issue. once the mesh is clean you can see the air direction flaps moving inside through the mesh.
    • Glad that worked out for you. I think my Joyeauto one is coming this week but I won't get to install it til closer to end of October. Will update when I get around to it. Just standard CP and nothing else. Hopefully the cameras all work without needing to get out of CP and get back in as they advertised. My other worry is sound quality. Fingers crossed!
