basically if rego is up, you should recieve the paper from rta in mail

go get a pinkslip, if you pass take the pink slip and rego paper to the rta and pay them.

then you should have alos recieve your greenslip 1 month prior to renewl

and pay that also on due date.

kapish?

As said, you'll need:

*Pink slip: basic inspection at a registered mechanic - costs approx $30

*Green slip: 3rd party personal injury insurance (not to be confused with 3rd party fire/theft etc which is an additional insurance) - costs approx $500 (due to your age), but check out www.maa.nsw.gov.au to get a list of prices from all insurance companies. I found NRMA were considerably cheaper for me.

Then go to the RTA and pay the rego fee on your renewal notice and you'll be sorted

'holy thread revival'...

I went to get a pink slip to-day, only to find that my Rego Renewal states, "No Inspection Required" *cough

Then upon looking at the year of manufacture, I see this typo, "2011"

Do I just play dumb > save myself $35/yr for the next couple of years OR do I fess up and tell them that my car is "1999"?

They are prob only going off your compliance year Terry..

I love not having an inspection for my cars. Especially if they are new. I just don't have time to take them somewhere to have them checked out.

I think this is true, my R32 is apparently a 2002!

if it says no inspection, it doesn't need one.

if you really want, just get the inspection done anyway.

you can pay for a rego inspection any time you want.

you only HAVE to get one, when the RMA states you have to
