heya

looking at upgrades at the moment and an afm is on my list of things to upgrade, lookes at both items(z32/q45) and i have a few questions. after my upgrades i am aiming for approx 320rwhp.

i have heard that the q45 is a beter afm because it provides clearer reading of something like that??? which is the beter afm in tems of tuneablitiy?

is a z32 big enough to handle this power? or is a q45 required?

your comments and advice are appreciated.... :D

cheers!

THe Q45 AFM is 90 mm and the ZA32 is 80 mm (same as the RB20/25 AFM). SO the Z32 will fit up without mods to the plumbing, the Q45 won't. The Q45 will have very low airspeed at idle on a 240 rwkw engine, may make idle control difficult. The Z32 will handle 240 rwkw easily, so why make life difficult for yourself?:cheer:

Z32 is good for 300rwkw.

mine is fine @ 270rwkw so far.

Get a new one for the few extra $$$, Z32's are getting a bit tired. Save problems later on

thanx for the reply's guys, z32 it is

where is the best place to source a brand new item?

cheers!

I got my Z32 from a bloke that has an account with Bosch.

$280 bran spankin new, +$10 for postage.

The Bosch ones are different i think arent they?

i'll check who made my Z32...

I do know the bosch ones are a lot cheaper though

to add to this...

ive just purchased a trust cooler with adaptor plate welded to the inlet end tank with the z32 bolted straight to the inlet... ive been told it provides a more accurate reading on the preasurised side of the turbo (japs tend to do it often)

see how this works out...
