help needed: R32

anyone want to help out a fellow SAU'er??

have had this weird 'miss' that can only be felt at idle or low rpm. gets worse when the engine warms up and seems to be better when its a cold night.

its not:

- coils

- plugs

- fuel filter

- oxygen sensor

- aac valve

i was hoping that there was someone with a working rb20 AFM that would be able to let me come over and try their afm in my car to see if it fixes my problem?

i live in the St Lucia area

anyone out there willing to help?

I got an R33 one sitting here, which is same as R32 i think.. but you have to come to the goldcoast to test it..

My mate has a similar problem in his 34, he got told that there could be a split in a lead that causes the spark to earth out on the rocker cover

is it the wire that goes from the ptu to the earth on the plate covering the coils?

Sounds like faulty coilpacks??

One basic diagnostic technique to use when the car is in its spastic mood and is missing is:

Remove the coilpacks one by one, and if nothing happens when you remove that particular coilpack, it means it is buggered.

as in original post, i have changed all 6 coils with working ones. even tried many combinations of the 12 coils that were available.

coils are not the problem...

weird thing is it gets worse as the car warms up which is not representative of coil pack failure

unless there's no spark getting to the coil, thus making it 'seem' like coil pack failure?

hmmm maybe it could be the ptu or wiring around that system somehow? :confused:

30-40 mins north of u... but i could make it coincide with a visit to my bro (taringa..) as long as your happy to wait probably till next weekend?

I have a good rb25 one that works. missing one of the mesh ends though. $200.
