Has anyone ever seen or been part of

A b16a or b18c conversion inot a 1981 honda prelude

and for those who are wondering "WHY?" because i can....

plus i like the dubious honour of being a crazy front wheel drifter

hit me back i with ideas, abuse or alternative

baically everything else has already been done and i want something different

ive actually psoken to a guy who reckons he used to won one and did the same conversion. He tried to tell me it took 9 weeks of heart ache.

I really don't believe him tho he tends to talk bulk crap.......:shake:

GO THE HONDA PRELUDES

ive got a 1984 model and i know that you can drop in a b16a engine into mine so i think you should be able to drop one into yours. also the B series can fit in with mounts i think. go to www.honda-prelude.com because those guys know A LOT about this engine swap and many have done it. some of those cars are insane. a guy dropped a turbo into his 83 lude and is running 13.5 in the quater mile ( http://up.edu/~midehara/index.htm ). i was thinking of doing the same thing but then i thought no because it would be to much trouble.

13.5 w/ a turbo B-series? ... there are 4 B20 VTEC (hybrid motor) powered Civic Hatches that run anywhere from 12.9 - 13.6 all motor in my town.

I don't know my ba16s from my ba18s, but one of the guys racing at bathurst with us today had an early prelude with a 2.0l crx block and a vtec head.

That would be the very same motor... the B20 block is from the CRV (the little SUV) and has a VTEC head on it.

OK, in that case, I do know someone who has done this exact swap! Goes OK too (for a Honda)

On BFG Drag Radials and with full bolt ons I have seen a 12.9@106 from a 99 Civic Hatch.
