Hey guys,

I have a fairly stock 97 r33 coming in a month. The plan was to do some minor mods (fmic, ebc, 18” magz, dump pipe) already has cat back and some A/m suspension. This is the thing, recently I have been thinking about taking the cash allocated for the mods and buying a 250 motorbike instead and getting my bike licence. So instead of a car how I want it I would have a stockish car but also have a bike to ride around on.

What are your thoughts? What would you do?

Either way, you will be happy. I think get the bike - you will appreciate your Skyline more, especially when you get caught in the rain on the bike.

What type of bike were you thinking of?? On your L's now you can get up to 650cc as long as the power to weight ratio isn't too radical. Maybe get a cheaper bike to begin on, then you still have some cash for the car.

Yep, same situation. Was gonna get a bike, then decided totally against it after hearing about other bike owners run ins with drivers who 'didn't see them'. So i saved all of my money towards the skyline. There is not a lot of room for error on a streetbike, not matter how good the rider is, you can't take into condsideration other road users stupidity.

having owned a bike - I would say go the mods on the car - no point splitting your money between two points and ending up compromising both....

you get both responsible and irresponsible people in cars AND on bikes, so why go spouting crap about either? just do your best to avoid them......
