Well I bought my first console today. Picked up the PS2+GT4 bundle + Memory card for $350 and i've played GT4 for about 2hrs. It was abit expensive but i've never even played a PS2 let alone any of the Gran Turismo series and after reading all the hype I just couldn't hold back

I've got the first license thingo and finished 1 round of the races. Only have 3 cars (R32 GTS-t is the 'used car' that I bought). It seems to do alright, handling isn't fantastic and I also need about another 75hp

i am still think to buy the game or not.do you guys think its worth to buy?i already got GT3

Definately worth the buy!! The car physics have changed alot since GT3 giving a more natural feeling, also the mother of all tracks is in the game to test every drivers skills. Only flaw......there is still no R33 Gts-t :D

Hey timmy, how the hell did you manage to complete the nurburgring licence, i sat there playing for a couple of hours getting to like 8 minutes then hads were to slippery or id just over take the pace car and then fail. :)( i was getting so frustrated my girlfriend threatend to turn my Ps2 of coz i was cussen so much.

Where in adelaide are ya lol, lett me coppy your licencessssss :):P:P

I have 6.4 percent completion,

If anyone wants easy money, go to the japanese events, do the first event,s there worth $7500 a race plus $35,000 if you win the compertition, and they give you some concept car and its worth like $318,000 and you can do it over and over again and keep selling it.

Woohoooo to GT4

No R34 GT-T either... what a wierd exclusion hey? Still I can't complain... 1989 R32 GTS-t Type M is there in wine red!

correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the Blitz ER34 D1 a Gt-t? i know it's not a stock gt-t but it made it in to the game unlike it's R33 conterparts.

I have also found a way of winning $260,000 very easily. Go to special conditions win the first 2 rally races this will give you an extremely quick Cadilac which I have modded to produce 974kw + NOS and does the ¼ in 10.2. Keep doing those last 2 races over and over then sell them all.

your not tuning it right then.

OK heres a full list of the cars u can win and where u get em... (NOTE THAT THESE ARE FROM THE AMERICAN VERSION LIST)

I have also found a way of winning $260,000 very easily. Go to special conditions win the first 2 rally races this will give you an extremely quick Cadilac which I have modded to produce 974kw + NOS and does the ¼ in 10.2. You don’t have to mod it if you don’t want to. With this new addition to your garage use it to win the next 2 rally races. You will then receive a Toyota Race Spec rally 4WD which is worth $263,000. Keep doing those last 2 races over and over then sell them all.

or you can get over 400k in one series by doing the Japanese Championship and winning the Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car '02 which is worth over 300k alone... plus the 90k you get from completing all the races which are all easy when your driving a nicely modified GTR.

i was lucky enough to start with 110k and A and B licences

EDIT:: just realised what you mean... yeah definately the easiest way. 2 races... get the rally car... sell it... then reset and do it again.

first car i owned was an R34 GTR Vspec which when modified sounded like a puss filled rotor which i was very displeased about... but anyway... spent 80k on it and nothing can touch it... runs 9sec passes and if you set it up properly you wont have any issues.

im only 12% through the game so far and lovin every minute of it... a few bugs that can be annoying tho... like the power rating discrepincies... my D1 350z says 770kw in the garage and yet it says about 570kw in the car info. My Blitz D1 car says 460 something in the garage yet only has 354kw according to the car information... so i cant get into certain races with it cause of the low power it reads.

but yeah... apart from that... awesome.

best track i found for some good dori so far is the Autumn Mini ring.

ok.... got about 30 cars now... latest adition being the Autech 260RS Stagea ;)

also u can actually buy Sil80s from the secondhand section... different colours which is cool cause i didnt like the colour i got.

The R32 Gtst understeers majorly! I let my B-spec driver have a go and every time i asked him to push hard he would just spin or hit walls.

I bought an R34 GTR N1 00' model and modified it with everything and this understeers worse then the r32! I thought GTR's were supposed to stick like $hit to a blanket. 9.6% complete

    • UPDATE: Hi all!  As we are getting towards the end of this thread where I’ll showcase final dyno numbers and graph, I wanted to provide an update. Tao from HyperGear has done an amazing job building the custom divided T3 housing for the G30. Communication was flawless, price was great, and now the housing is estimated to arrive in 7-10 days! Very very pleased. I must add, if someone is looking for an affordable turbo and end up reading this thread, I would recommend HyperGear. Genuine brands are the way to go as their reliability is proven, performance can be predictable, and there’s a plethora of information available for specs, flow, and more. This HyperGear recommendation is based on their excellent communication, dedication, and willingness to listen to their customers. I particularly liked their ability to create custom adaptations tailored to specific needs, which is a HUGE benefit over other brands. And if we consider the HyperGear provided dyno results, it adds reassurance knowing their turbos can compete against genuine brands. Next update will be after the dyno!
    • I've previously seen people post up "dress up bolt kits" for RBs but don't remember seeing them specify the full contents. I can only really suggest you grab the verniers and start measuring, and keep in mind the cam cover and timing cover bolts are both quite specific with a wider unthreaded section where the bushes sit, that will make it hard to get aftermarket replacements which tend to be all thread (set screws) or for longer bolts a flat section with a shorter threaded section at the end
    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
