Guys - just finished updating the Club championship.

Some other times of note really - Waynes (RUS) 2:01 is a standard RWD class car is awesome.

Jack to run a 1.58 - mate you have come miles in one track day since Calder. There's still a big step from there to what the car COULD run but anything under 2:00mins means you are driving no matter what the power.

And a special mention to Anthony (heartbrkr) who clocked his fastest lap in the passenger session. And here I was getting in trouble for going to fast! LOL.

Anyone know where I can get some stock seats?  I don't like the race style seats in the car at the moment.  I'm getting old and need more comfort.

Cheers

Aaron

do i sense some race seats coming on the market soon?

;)

Yeah Andrew, was quite happy with the times being my first time, although I know I can go quicker, especially if I take the first bend a bit faster....

Had an absolute ball!!!! This track is one of the best I've been on, so smooth and very easy to learn on. Was actually a bit nervous at the start of the day coz of the 'stories' people telling me about the track, but after the second session, my confidence grew aswell as those 'things' hanging between my legs and went from a 2:12 (practice session) to a 1:58....

Can't wait for the next one!!!!!

P.S Snowy, those rims/tyres of mine still in one piece??? :headspin:

See Jack - now you can appreciate why I say I think PI is one of the best tracks to learn on. No doubt PI is one of the most dangerous tracks in Oz - but I think it's more dangerous for experienced drivers that are pushing the envelope rather than beguiners. I think the "dangerous" places are far too scary for beguiners to be pushing in too hard. But as far as track surface, width and layout I think its a great learning track.

The experts continue to disagree with me on this issue however.

Wayne - you have been upgraded to Modified Class. Still a damn good timen you produced.

Yeah Wayne that is a top time for a stock car with only slicks and suspension mods  Next track day I wouldn't mind hopping in your car for a passenger session to see how the mods effect the cars turn in speeds etc compared to stock.

It was a great track and day, but i was pissed off my ignition system decided to shit itself on the main straight at around 200km/h and blow a huge fireball out the exhaust and had me thinking shite something blew up in the car after only the second practise session of which 2 laps were under yellow flag!!!!

I didnt get a chance to get a good run this time so i am hanging for the next PI day so i can get a decent time, and it was a slow and painfull drive home since the car would only rev to 2500rpm and then spit and fart.

Ant I wouldnt mind a copy of the vid of that fireball my car threw on the straight!!!

I...after only the second practise session of which 2 laps were under yellow flag!!!!

LOL, that session with the yellow flag was when i knocked out my fastest lap:( Considering i went slow thru the woolshed and lukey, im hoping there was at least two seconds lost there.

I was gun shy the hotter the day got, so kept revs down and brakes meant i was going off driving at 8/10s, so didnt bother with 10/10. Car is at Race Brakes now getting the shagged master cylinder fixed:thumbsup:

Jack, that's fantastic mate. Anything under 2.00 at the Island is very fast.

Also, thanks for the help getting my car around while I was away. I wouldn't have got the Island without your assistance.

Cheers.

I had to sign my life away.

Special permission - I had to fill out a form, follow some rules and in turn was allowed pretty much anywhere - down side to this is I missed out on all the chit chat in the pits and got fairly sunburnt.

Thanks to Joel though for taking me to all the good spots.
