Changing paint?

Can you change the paint colour in photoshop7 or are you guys using paintshop pro?

After you filled the layer with the colour you want the car, how do you get the detail back. using photoshop7

change the raster layers (new colour layer) opacity to about 50% so u can see the stuff underneath it and cut out the bits that dont need colour.... once u done that just change the opcatiy til its to ur liking.

Yea, try using blending modes, and opacity changes to get the effect you want

Heres my 10 min attempt.

Its bloody hard to change the colour realisticaly on a black car though.

if u want to change it properly... change the colours to white then go over the top.

Looks good, black would have to be one of the harder colors to change from.

As narky nark said, try using a white undercoat layer, and then use colors on top of that.

Takes a bit of playing round, but you'll get the hang of it eventually.
