the guys s15 that was stolen on silviawa was found out tha back of dixon road. Stripped down and was on fire when they fire/police got there. The cops reckon it had been used in a few robberies as reports of a red sports car leaving the scenes

not to shed bad news here but good luck on the search! will keep an eye out for you!

When is officiallyl clased as KIA? and you can make a claim?

Dont wanna be a wet blanket but it think after this long it would be best if it was found around a tree some place, written off. That way you dont get back a car with bits ripped off ciggarett burns in the seats, bad smells and god know a seriously thrashed engine (if it didnt have that already). Sure its gonna take some time to get it back to where it was but they have to give you a car thats the same as when it got stolen. Im hoping you put all your mods on your policy.

Hopefully you will still have some stuff salvageable out of it, like the stereo and some engine parts which are easily ripped out and replaced with the original parts before you give it to teh insurance company. Best you can hope for buddy.

Really blows im sure. What are you drving in the meantime? ill sell u a bunky corrolla for 600 if you like, a mate offered it to me for that and its worth twice that i reckon i was gonna buy it for that and resell it but looks like u might be able to use it more than me. He just wants it off the lawn and knows he will make a loss but cant be bothered. Just got rebuilt so it shouldnt die on ya. Offer stands.

Mate that sucks. Hope u get some good news. Will keep a look out whenever i am in perth. why cant people have respect for other peoples property. thats what it is like in Japan and they dont have much of a problem with car theft. People have said that there have been full house R34 GTR's in the main streets with their doors unlocked. well from what i have read in the ASM magazines.

the claims in already, if i wanted i could of lodged it on the day it was stolen.

just gotta wait for 30odd days for the insurance investigation to complete.

boostzor, pm me the details on the rolla if it has aircon. going a bomb is an option so i can get a house deposit together

Troy ....

Paul and i were driving through Gosnells Friday afternoon .... and this burgandy R33 goes the other way ..... it had a "Ducktail" like yours and the sideskirts .... and paul and i just looked at each other if to say "was thats troys car" unfortunately we werent in a position to turn around and have a closer look. It looked certainly like yours from what we saw - but it didnt have the MASTRYODA plates.

So we may have had the wrong car but from memory there isnt too many around with that rear spoiler right? if it was the right car then somebody has done a swappsie on the plates.

We didnt really see it until it was too late .... being beter prepared i wouldve written the plate number down so you could check with police to see if the plates are registered to another stolen vehicle or that car.

FFS, when someone see's something suspicious, why don't they follow the f****** thing.

There are a lot of boongs in Gossy, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was there.

The amount of time that has elapsed since it was stolen leads me to think that it has probably had the guts flogged out of it. If it is well insured, personally I wouldn't want the thing back. I'd rather see those punks take themselves out in it so they wouldn't be capable of doing it again.

SKYZERR33, no need to comment on my last statement, never no who is on this forum.

ive seen a fair few drift wings on wine red 33's so i wouldnt get 2 excited

yeh id hate to say it but i wouldnt want it bak now

i seriously doubt it would still be on the street after this long if it was a joyride or wateva the car is usually found dumped shortly after or the person caught

they wouldnt still be driving it around with the same plates/rims/wing blah blah blah coz no 1 is that stupid

im guessing its been taken for parts i know a few imports from the gym i went to had that happen and were found in a gazillion pieces a few days later

good luk with the insurance

ric777 - it's a little difficult to turn around when there are god knows how many roadworks and detours preventing you from doing it :P

Kyles its up where they are building the new train station along Spencer Rd Thornlie.

I know that it could be come poor innocent mugs car - but i thought it was worth mentioning so dont gang up on me about it :) Ive never seen an R33 apart from Troys with a drift wing and unfortunately we didnt get a good look at the car until it was too late. There were no stickers on the rear quarter windows ... had a fairly big zorst (but doesnt every skyline) ... had side skirts was burgandy and had a drift wing - unfortunately thats all i can tell ya.

not mine unless they took the stickers off.

also russ u'll find most skylines with drift wings are just little lip spoilers to make the rear of the car look level.

mine on the other hand sticks out quite abit. It can only be bought from the place in myaree and to my knowledge they have only sold 2 the other being on a white 33. why only 2 cause they charge to much for it, i got mine at the correct price only because I took in an email from the designer stating what the retail price should be.

    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
