1st time in a skyline

Recommended Posts

my first ride in a turbo'd skiline was when i test drove my current car

i had just driven a V8 soarer and a TT soarer so jumping into the stock auto r32 felt a bit slow. ended up buying it mainly because of its reliability, but glad as hell i did now

the best purchase i have ever made...

Been into turbo cars since 2000.

Hadn't been in a single bloody one until Jan 04 when my mate took me for a spin in his ca18det auto 180sx. Meh not impressed, but loved being in an import.

Feb 04 my brother mate took me for a spin in his 170rwkw WRX. Waahahhhh holy f'in f**8F******#*#^*#&^*&. 4 wheel air time. I couldn't roll a smoke afterwards because I was shaking so much.

April 04 decided on a Skyline, got my loan and went to test drive one. It was stock but what got me the most was the smell and feel of the car. It was way too sexy to resist so I put a deposit on it that night and picked it up 3 days later. But yeh, first thing I thought was "hmm... not as fast as I expected" but it had so much style I didn't care.

A year later and I've just dumped 10k into it all in one go. I'll let you know how I feel next week when I get it back :);):)

Dee, sounds like it'll be fun.

My first drive was in a mates 33gts-t, zorst, intake and some boost. I really like the feel of the whole car, and the fact the transmission felt a lot tighter than a lot of the aussie cars.

Then I drove a 32GTS-T, decided that was it and ordered one from Japan.

I've been modding it ever since, and it keeps getting better ;)

The repair bills of the GTR's scared me off :)

Unimpressed!

1994 VspecII R32 GTR... I was expecting a lot more. It ran 14psi, exhaust, stock airbox with panel filter and a button clutch.

It was one I looked at buying and it was a nice car, but I tought it totally lacked grunt. (yes, it was in TOP condition).

As turbo cars went I was used to a friends series 1 RX7 13BT (now THAT was a ride!).

It nearly put me off buying a GTR.

Oh - I also went for a drive in an auto R33 GTSt 4 door, again I was unimpressed, but it was stock.

Hey guys n girls,

First time in a skyline was an R32 GTS-T with an RB25 engine. If anyone knows the Captain Cook bridge in Brissy, we booted it at the beginning of the bridge and were doing about 200kph by the end. Verified my love for Skylines!!

my first drive was in a R34 GT 25T light mods, chip, exhaust, suspension and boost gauge.... well being a true Z enthusiast, i loved it like any other nissan brother.

Was extremly impressed by the grip (something use Z lovers are not that used 2) and the steering.... i could throw it into any corner at any speed and it would grip.

loved it but my heart lies elsewere.... zlove.gif

I had an old friend that had just bought a 1995 GTST R33, i didnt think too much about it, it was a few years ago now and i wasnt too much into cars. He was about to pass a truck far up ahead and i thought to myself "he aint gonna make it" dropped it down a gear and flew past this truck, just the power it had was orgazmic! I now own a R33 GTST and have had it for a year. I still get excited starting the engine!

My first ride in a turbo Skyline was in an R30 sedan with a L20ET auto conversion. SSSSSlllllllloooooooowwwest car to 100km/h but surprisingly quick from 100 to 160km/h. Auto+Dattostyle IRS+light powersteering equated to the best sh1tter for paddock-orientated circle action. Unfortunately it was an absolute dog on the road.

My first ride in a skyline was in GTSPEC which involved massive powerslides through the rocks in sydney, followed half an hour later by driving around sydney for a few hours in FLYBYE. i guess you could say i have had high expectations ever since :)

my first ride in a skyline was my own when i picked it up from the warf and drove it from their gates and only a tow truck, hehe, lasted all of 30secs, totally loved it though.. but i think it was more a loving feeling that it was mine.. b'oh..

but, first proper run in it, i was excited, id had it in the garage running, giving it a rev here and there, letting off the blow off valve, and i was so excited about it all. when i got to drive it i got to give it a boot down the street while my mate was following in his rx impreza and he just disappeared in my rear view mirror within seconds..

of cos, his rx is nothing special, but at the time i was driving an old holden torana that even his rx has beaten, so i was used to seeing his tail lights.. now he got to see mine

First drive in a skyline was test driving a r32 gtst, which had a few mods icluding a heavy duty clutch. I think i stalled 4 times in a row trying to take off, it was a big change from the stock R31 clutch i was used to.
