got some mods done the other day, including a pod located where the stock intercooler resides on a r33 series 1

its noisy as (i think a noname pod)

anyone know if different pods make less/more noise?

not so much that i dont like the noise, id just like less noise if its an option

pod is already on, stock filter is long gone, so not an option

probably doesnt help that ive lost the inner wheel guards

as the pod noise is right in front of the wheel, which probably throws it around a heap

Your nuts having the pod down there!! If you get water sucked into your intake your 'no name' pod will cost you an RB25DET.

Cheap pods will be made of thin material so the noise you are hearing is the normal intake noise with very little air restriction when its sucking in air.

You can test this by removing the pod and using a stocking to cover the intake and if it sounds the same then you know its just the cheap thin make of the pod you have.

mmm, ive heard others doing similar thing without any dramas

of course ill be careful driving through puddles and what not;

the lowest point of the pod, is about centre of the wheel height, maybe a bit higher;
