sad to say but i have converted to a manual transmission

in july .

i have also just recently put in a power fc , highflow cat

and in the process of highflowing a stock turbo with MTQ .

soon as i put the manual transmission i had it dynoed ,

and was set on 8 psi, had 170.1rwkw and managed a 14.3

put power fc in tuned and is now on 10 psi , has now 187.6rwkw

will be good to see how it goes.

thanks for all ya comments much appreciated

Be for you get all carried away on those engine mods what about doing something about making it all hook up and drive harder.Got you attention- good, get the trans rebuilt if your serious about 1. going fast 2. staying with the auto.Get it rebuilt with better clutch packs and stage three shift kit and good oil,a higher stall convertor, and a trans cooler.ALL this needs to be done proir to any thing else or your just wasting your money, you can have all the power in the world but if you cant step on the loud pedal at the correct revs for the turbo and not have it hook up and drive hard and shift hard thru all gears your just not going to cut a good time.I would always prefer to drive an under powered car that will lay everything you have got on the track than some fancy big hp mother that's just going to wheelspin thru a slow 60 ft and beyond.

Thtat's my 2c worth, hope it may help...

How about the fact that cyl 6 is 30 psi down on the rest of them? No one has mentioned anything about that. Was it a faulty reading? Done a leakdown test?

Before you start increasing power, you may want to get it looked at before it dies on you. Maybe time for a rebuild.

thats what apc said for the compression test in the cyl's., that was a fair while ago

and have just recently got fist to install a power fc

and he said that the engine is fairly strong, and they checked it all out

i didnt end up seein what the compression was like this time, and dont know if they did one

but i will find that out

even though it doesnt matter it was 20psi not 30psi , same shit anyway.

THanks

i have posted in other areas of the forum, but with my drag updates

i have broke into the 13's bracket with a 13.7

still practicing, still not happy with starts or correct points to change at what revs

but yeah 230rwkw now, and still going

with 155rwkw from an rb20 i ran a 14.7 @ 98mph in my r32 auto.. that with a shitty takeoff and 2.5sec 60'! (apparently this ET is good for a high 13)

but interestingly i went a different route to you to help with times..

spending less than for a manual conversion, i upgraded to a high-stall and shift kit from MV automatics.. this gives me 4-5psi when stalling on the line and the thing takes off like a rocket!

now that i have 170rwkw and an ECU tune to come, i hope to test out the new auto on the strip and see how she goes :(

i think weight factor can also play a part in my times

as r33's arent the most lightest car in the world

and for a r32, not sure what the weight difference is compared to a r33, but lookin at them, they dont look like they would weigh much

my suspension is now being looked at, and also some slicks for next time i go, so revs can be put up at the start and quick launch.

As for the power i have, im only hitting 170kms at the end track, as i should be hitting 190. So only answer is my takin off is very slow.

oh well, all fun, and my aim will be met with a low 12, after next tune and upgrade suspension.

I did a 15.1 with my completely stock auto sometime ago

here's my experiences with my Auto R33

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=83883

and where I am currently

As far as launches go I feel leaving it in D with O/D off, POWER button ON is the best way rather than shifting manually
