The GF's boss was going home the other night (tuesday) down tonkin highway and some kids threw a brick at the van and it hit the windscreen and smashed the sh!t out of it.

He kept driving for a little, turned around and chased them down and held them there until the police came and took them away.

Being young i bet nothing will happen to them, they should be made an example of.

I'll see if she can get more info into what their punishment is, if any.

he should have kicked the sh!t out of them then done the Sicilian trick, scar the face so they never forget what they did. That kind of thing craps me off and don't expect that they will get the penalty they deserve, just doesn't happen anymore.

This is a daily occurance for my bus drivers -- we mainly get it through the windscreen -- what will happen - they will get nothing because unless the happen to throw one at a magistrate one day they have no idea of the danger of these events.

This shit costs my company$$$$$ each year not only in windcreens and windows but the workers comp insurance is horrendous and there for we all pay as bus fares rise to cover costs.

I could write for hours about these little arseholes but wont bore you with the details

Even after a truck driver was killed over east by rock throwers the courts wont do a thing about them -- more interested in catching hoons i guess

Personally I think they should be charged with attempted murder and tried as adults. This is a very serious offence which could easily have ended in tragedy. Perhaps these kids need to visit someone who has suffered as a result of an attack such as this, something which will make them learn a lesson. Perhaps the cat of nine tails could be brought back? An offence such as this can be 10 lashes, next time it's 50, then 100...

I'll get Harvey (zee boss) to give the cops a call and see what happened to them.

The law is a joke, my sisters car was stolen outside Kailis in Leederville while she was working, they came into the place and went for the staff pigeon holes and grabbed her keys. They had the for about 24 hours and my sister and her bf were out cruising to try and find it and they spotted it and called the cops.

This ended up in a pursuit around perth ending up in belmont with the car in a tree. F*#%n b!tches (all 3 were 16) got off scott free. I think them being all Aboriginal may have helped with that too. One was even a social worker, WTF!

The coppers even said to my sister she had no chance getting any sort of reimbursement from them. GRRRRRR..

Shaun

my feelings are the same for car thieves. I get really crapped off with these pricks and the fact that they get off scott free boils my blood to the point where I could just chop their hands off if the opportunity arose. People bust their asses to get what they have only to have some low life come along and take or damage the property or worse, do physical damage to the people they steal from.

Have always said that the best way to turn these losers around is to make industrial prisons, (instead of Hotel Casurina prisons) where they are detained and must work and produce goods to be sold (U.S. blue denim factory prison style). they must work until 1. they repay damage to property or person

and 2. they pay their debt to society i.e. for the offense they committed. Until the last cent is paid off, they don't go nowhere.

Bearing in mind that most of these losers bludge off society and dislike work, it would get the message across loud and clear that any future bullsh!t from them would get them more of the same.

You don't turn someone around by not making them face up to their responsibilities and I can't understand why the legislators can not see the simple solution. Maybe it's those loser "civil libertarians" who wield so much power and have caused much of the problems, that makes it impossible for the legislators to do what ought to be done. Most of the civil libs are lawyers, well surprise, surprise.

Failing the above solution, then go back to my original post for the alternative.

a mate at work had his yamaha r1 stolen and about an hour later, the guy who stole it clipped a car and got himself killed.

thank **** he's off the road.

He was due in court two weeks later for stealing the same model bike a couple of months early.

Shaun, see if your boss has the kids details and we'll get a group to go around to their houses and confront them and their parents.

i like that idea, but how about we just throw rocks at their house?

I agree with everyone here! about teaching them a leason as well as the law being f@#Ked!!

My grandparents got bashed in their back garden in Bassendean last year, you probably heard on the news I'd say. I'm still fumming inside, we told the cops of a couple of guys wondering around their garden a week or two before startling my grand parents and they didn't do anything about it, even just to patrol around. Then they had the nerve to say they had no record of the complaint!

They apparently know who they are but can't touch them or prove that they did it!!

I'd love to get my hands on them, make em use a f@#kin straw to eat for the rest of their lives!!

Cant your grandparents testify to it?

Don't think they really remember their details very well, they are pretty old, they know that they were Aboriginal. My grandfather was knocked out after the second blow or so, grandmother suffered more cause he kept hitting her. Think they sort of rather put it behind them in a way, bit hard to get out of the back of your mind though. They didn't even end up taking anything or going into the house!

all these stories are bloody crazy, if your windscreen gets thrown by bricks what if you lose control outta shock and crash? its like hitting two birds with one stone... um brick...

Radium the boss did a pretty good job catching him hey, i was real surprised they didnt get away. They mustve been real stupid... like, even more stupider than throwing a brick that is.

I'm in with the beatings... time and place i'm there.

    • Also had a look at the Nissan JP website looks like the 400r has a slightly shorter ratio than than the regular V37 3.133 VS 2.937 which from a guy who has driven both 3.69 vs 4.11 ratios in the S15 is bugger all. Seems that the AUTO Z runs the same ratio as the 400R but can't find any info as to if its an open or LSD? More often than not the auto LSD is open
    • Do not replace the power steering lines with this stuff. If it's anything like the Chase Bays stuff it will leak and be worse than stock. The reason why the reservoir is on the LH/passenger side of the car is because that's just where the reservoir was most convenient to fit. Don't overthink this stuff. The intake/cold side of the engine is pretty busy on these cars. And again, the hardpipe is designed to be a janky power steering cooler. In theory you can replace it with a real power steering cooler but that's really only for track use where boiling the fluid is a distinct possibility. Start with the low pressure lines feeding the pump from the reservoir. Make sure there isn't a bunch of junk in the reservoir filter. Be careful to not get ATF all over the engine bay. I hate dealing with ATF spills, you can clean it up and the slightest crevice will still release more oil that can still drip over time. You also want to inspect for leaks before you make a mess and can't tell what happened. Most likely you have a leak somewhere that is allowing fluid out and air in. Failing that it's allowing air in but not fluid out. Only place I can really see that happening is on the low pressure side because the pump will pull a slight vacuum to draw fluid in. Everything after the pump is high pressure or lower pressure, approaching atmospheric by the time it returns to the reservoir.
    • I did a skidpan night at SMSP this week, it was much cheaper than $350. But yeah, you need to slap an LSD in that thing.  I put an OS Giken in the 370Z and it's f**king MARVELOUS even compared to Nissan's viscous LSD. So you're saying it's free now that it's a housing estate? 😂
    • Nah, the car seems to run exactly as it did prior, in saying this it does "seem" to be better down low, like more eager to rev, but that may be 100% placebo effect from intake noise But, I'm not worried about it at all, in the end it is a fairly low compression NA engine that has a well shrouded intake,  if it is getting hotter IAT I cannot notice anything negative performance wise from the seat of my pants thrashing it about on the street or sitting in traffic, so meh, car now now makes induction noise so I'm happy
    • Do you have an IAT sensor? It's worth checking it to see. You may be suprised how little gap you actually need to flood your engine with hot air. (I tape up my airbox for a reason) :p
