Nissan Leopards spotted....

Not RB powered (VQ30DET) but I had never seen one of these before last week when I saw this (actual) one:

out at uni and thought "wtf is that" and looked them up on the net...

The new one is his, I believe the older one is his brothers... He lived in .jp for a few years and brought the Y33 back with him...

I've had a close look at this thing in the flesh and it's AWESOME!!! No slouch and pimp as it gets...

Yeah I saw that blue one at UQ in the carpark last week, had never even heard of a leopard before, almost walked around and had a good look but didn't want to look like a tool cos there were people around Newer one looks awesome from photos

theres a 2 tone silver/black one with 18 inch slightly dished rims and dark tint in brissy area. very nice looking and something different

Well the one I saw at UQ (and is linked up the top) is an 88 coupe that I think is navy and silver two tone

This car looks awesome in the flesh. Mark's taken very good care of it and I'm suprised he's selling it.

We were discussing the night we saw it that it was very american looking with the rear lights.

I also like the look of the older Leopards. I'm wondering whether he will swap for a VL

because it is known and sold as a Maxima in the states...do a search online.

Certainly different, not a very popular car in Japan the late Leopard.

But the early Leopard was, if you can still find any in good nick. Certainly worth dropping an RB26 from the one I saw at the garage.

For the old leopards (F31), pretty sure US sells them as infinity M30s. However they dont come in turbos and they are convertables.

JDM they come in VG20E, VG20ET, VG20DET, VG30DE and VG30DET.

Many saw RBs and manual boxes drop in them as almost all were 4AT except the VG20E.

I'll see if I can find a pic online.

Y33 Leopards started in 1996 were all 4AT and powered by VG20E, VG25DE, VG30E, VG30DE, VG30DD, VQ30DE and VQ30DET.

You could say it was Nissan's car against the Toyota Aristos as they weighted between 1540kg - 1630kg.

There was also a RB25DET version with 4WD but she weighted 1700kg!
