Boosted,

I got a high flow cat fitted for $250, alternately, exhaust dynamics do a high flow - high flow (flows about 70% better than standard high flow) which is custom built - not sure about the price. It sounds like you have been really lucky so far - get a lotto and a cat before it runs out:)

Which is shit cause if the cops are being real wanks no matter what permit you have they could bend you over for the exaust.

of course they do!

I have Permits for my exhust!

if I wasnt sick I would talk to ya more on the cruise... :)

ask them to test your exhust sound etc... etc.

if you are scare of they ask you to take them off cuz it's too loud well then you take chance with cops!

cheers

Bwahahah, try taking yours off sometime and putting a straight piece of pipe in... i'll be betting you wont wanna put the cat back on again :D

My bro's 180SX goes like s.hit off a shiny shovel without a cat. At the end of the day even a high flow cat converter is a MASSIVE restriction on just a piece of pipe.

But... it IS illegal, if your willing to put up with the risk and the additional noise associated with it, go for it..... easiest mod you'll ever make :D

you dont need an emissions test to tell if the cats there or not, cause it really stinks if its not there, so if a cops following you, theyll be able to tell pretty easily.

I found this out when following a skyline, im not going to name him, we'll call him captain catless for now, he knows who he is.

    • Do u know how to identify the rods are rb25 or neo ones? Can u look into the pics and tell me is they de or de neo ones. Its confusing becoz my motor has de neo head but block is 25de 75t, so really confusing me about rods, crank.
    • Are you talking about the oil squirters? There is only one place for them to go. Yes, you have to drill the holes. Yes you have to obtain the correct oil squirters (I presume there is some sort of aftermarket option available, because original turbo ones are going to be a diminishing resource).
    • I thought you didn't let mechanics, especially those with no idea, work on your car any more? Wouldn't that mean it won't be an issue in your case?
    • Is it possible to get them dilled and taped if its not there. Same for oil feed and turbo drain, is it easy to get them taped or i should get the supply from somewhere else?
    • I'm not doubting it does something, there's clearly a reason why Nissan bothered with it on the transmission/diff/transfer case but it's more just the effort of finding a drain plug that isn't going to have some unexpected design problem that makes me lazy. For example even the Nismo branded ones here spec way less than the factory 20 N-m. They say only torque to 10 N-m. That is getting absolutely trashed the moment you take it to any mechanic who isn't familiar with the specific requirements and assumes it should be torqued to factory spec.
