How much boost can i run? RB20DET, HKS 2530, PFC etc...

Hey guys!

Just wanting to know how much boost i can run and what sort of rear wheel kw's i can expect at a few different boost settings (eg 1bar and 1.2bar)

Car:

R32 GTSt RB20DET

Mods:

HKS 2530

Power FC

Apexi AVCR

460cc Rx7 Injectors

Walbro 500hp fuel pump

All the other normal stuff:

Front mount IC

HKS BOV

HKS POD

Full 3 inch exhaust (twin pipe dump too)

The Wastgate arm has been spaced out with spacers...and has an adjustable boost arm on it, Is longer arm less boost or other way around??? Also

I was hoping for a High and low setting of boost, but i think the arm is set on 1.2bar???

Done 208rwkw @ 18 psi (1.25bar) with a 2535 and very similar setup ...

But these turbos should be able to hold 1.4bar no probs....

Ok cool, Im more interested in what the rest of the car can handle?

eg Rx7 injectors, internaly standard RB20DET

If the tuning is ok, then id say the std engine shall be fine, privided it is healthy to start with. Depending on how you drive, your g'box may start to struggle:( Dong to too hardcore with the clutch you use and the gearbox may survive.

My g'box has done 178,000kms and the last 30,000kms have been with between 200-235rwks...and the box is starting to fell its age:(

The shorter the arm the harder it is for the wastegate to open. So if the wastegate arm is hard to put on leigthen the arm it should make the wastegate open earlier.

Would your standard actuator fit on your new turbo?
