its been in the paper for 3 weeks and not even a phone call!!!

so it has to go NOW! it was going for 21.5k BUT ITS NOW DOWN TO 18K AND STILL NEG.

There is'nt a thing wrong with it that i hav'nt listed, its very clean, very very well looked after and i simply have to have it gone, im in a new career in real estate and im buying a lancer and need to get it very soon and my licence has just been suspended.

I dont want any time wasters or tyre kickers, if your serious let me know, come and check it out.

R33 is for sale, its a genuine reason. Ive owned the car since early February 04 it was in great condition when i bought it and was lovingly looked after by its past owner and more so by me.

here are the Details:

now for the imperfections. thanks to quikeze towing my left rear pod has been cracked, you will be able to pick up a cheap 2nd hand pod for around $50 and attach it straight on. Im being open and honest about the imperfections but it is in very good condition both mechanically and physically (appart from the pod) car was defected a few weeks ago, but has passed a full inspection, rear tyres are bals but i have a nice, near new set of dunlops to go on.

at the moment thats all i can think of regarding mods etc, but i can honestly say im going to miss this car dearly.

here are the pics, im hoping for a quick sale and not much fussing around.

price is $18'000 neg.

if there is any other info you would like just pm me or reply here, and i'll get back to you asap, i do want it gone asap but that does not mean i want any stupid offers!

i honestly hope that the new owner loves, looks after and appreciates this car as much as i have and i know you'll get as much of a thrill from having it as me.

Andrew.

Gday mate

Would u consider a trade for my 99 Lancer, 1.5L manual, 11months rego, just serviced, a/c power steering and cd player... stock except cd player and some cash, let me know, thanks mate!!!

Would you take $15'000 and include freight to Perth as I have a mate who would be interested.

Dont take offence to that price Im just going off my knowledge as my brother just picked up his 1994 GTST for $14'000 without bodykit.

Cheers.

PM me if you are interested.

hey guys: Alph thats no worries, no offence taken but it is well below what i'll let it go for, thanks for being so polite about it, alot of people are just rude when it comes to low offers, so thanks.

Giffo: most importantly how many km's? im now looking more towards a daihatsu sirion or deawoo lanos lately, purely because you can pick up immaculate ones with under 50kms for under 6k. Any ideas roughly what kind of cash adjustement your thinking of? basically im chasing a house deposit (hence why im looking at Sirions becasue they are so cheap) so im not sure if a lancer is on the cards anymore, let me know what you think, pm me if you'd prefer.

actually i've never run it on 12pound. My appologies, at the time of writing the ad i had just installed the trust b/c and was setting it to 12psi but the way we connected it was wrong so when we tested it, it didnt change the boost, and i could'nt be bothered switching the hoses around so i just turned it off, and thus never ran higher boost. So it is still only running the stock (it is 7 or 5) psi.

Im sure the b/c works but i just never got around to changing it. But its a phneumatic b/c so if i was going to run higher boost i'd just put in an EBC.

But if the car sells for 18k (or close to it) i'll buy an Apexi EBC and have it installed before sale for whoever buys it.

  • 2 weeks later...

no no no i think your all missing what i just said, this is the part where someone says...."Holy sh*t, i cant beleive your letting it go for this price, i'll take it!!!"

But thats ok cause i forgive you, just make an offer now and all will be forgiven.....

im going to be getting something fairly new and cheap with low km's (like a lanos or daewoo matiz) so if its something like that then im definately interested. what is it?

    • Very decent bit of kit. Definitely black it out I reckon.
    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
