GuestyR33
Hey everybody My clutch is F@#KED. Happened yesterday after i finished tafe. Took a bit of work to get it home. Anyways im gonna need a new clutch, preferably heavy duty or if someone can recommend something better. I dont have a lot of money to spend so take that into consideration, Also im positive my clutch cable snapped so replacing wouldn't be a bad idea either. Im in Ferntree Gully, Eastern Suburbs, are there any places worth considering. Kamikaze motors quoted me $650 fitted. I'd like to fix this asap. So HEEEEELLLLLPPPP. Cheers Guesty. paulr33
have a chat to chasers www.chasers.com.au they may have a good 2nd hand they can offer you or a new one, irecall some good pricing for a new one. also if its a series 1 r33 you can fit a nissan patrol heavy duty clutch as its the same push or pull type (cant remember). do a search for the nissan patrol and youll find the info you need, im pretty sure it only fits on the series 1 and its good for 200rwkw ish as its heavy duty and good price too as its a local part from most workshops Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/67781-clutch-problems/#findComment-1257347 Share on other sites
JAPCAB
Clutch cable?? I believe you have an R33, they have a hydraulic clutch system, using a master cylinder and slave cylinder so no cable. New exedy HD clutch fitted from chasers = $850. What is the problem you are experiencing?? is the clutch slipping??? have you lost your clutch pedal?? are you having to force the gearstick into gear when trying to engage/change gears?? The clutch pedal seems to be non existant. Basically it aint doing anything, The clutch was slipping a bit and was about to get replaced, but know, i physically cant force it into gear. I tried putting it in gear then starting it, but it quickly stalled. Sigh... Help.
