What does this switch do.. please help

i just got a 180sx and their is a switch on the right side of the steering wheel next to the pop-up light button here is a pic to have a look at.. 56k warning, pic is quite big

ever heard of cropping or resizing the image..LOL

that to me looks like some switch the previous owner has wacked in either for fog lights or for boost or even neons. could be a number of things. have u tried switchin it whilst driving, or at night and stepped out of the car?? just simply follow the wires and that'll give you an answer.

My mate's 180 has a dodgy looking switch like that. It changes the dimmer (Console backlight thing) adjustment from high to low. He was told that it was for compliance cos japs dont have it by default. My car has an after market knob for it too but it was a black Jaycar type job and is is adjustable instead of just high and low.

yeah i have the same, looks terrible and must be removed when i get onto my dash mods

its a 180 right, might be one of those lazy eyes switches. try turning the headlights off and as the lights retract switch it. if the lights stay half way down you know what it does.

maybe it is the stealth mode switch.....we must have one turned on in the Z because people constantly can't see us, change lanes into use etc
