I dont disagree on anything for a change ;) maybe soimethings wrong with me hehe

Dr D. The Top secret rom has to go....

When i ran 20 degrees i got 30hp more midrange wow! @12psi

Back to 15deg and i can run more boost but only 8hp more top end but lose driveability mid range!

Adam My turbo specs do match my graph thats ok im happy with that...im not particularly interested in a vertical dyno chart like um.. :) ps 4500rpm

Rob i guess u have to like a dyno and stick with it so u can monitor inprovements..It is all in all only a tool for development :) But however what im saying is that i got a minimal increase by doing certain things and went back to the same dyno!

Thanks steve i didnt think so either but wanted some feedback just incase i thought i was greedy..

cheers

Maybe sell it for cash+swap for standard ecu? The top secret rom would be a good upgrade for someone who couldn't afford a s-afc but wanted to get rid of the standard ecu timing problems.

BTW, you're not greedy for wanting more power. It happens, even to the best of us :)

awesome.. my mates R33 has one also.. never seen another around like it, diff cooler, the lot. :-)

apparently another mate read somewhere that they only made 100 or so of these from the factory.. nice little score! :(

I guess I should expect this, I've already answered others on the forum. Probably should change my user name.

My R33 GTS-t has a VSPEC diff, yes it does have the fins on the diff like the VSPEC's. That means that I have the benefit of both traction control and Active LSD. It came from the factory with this so I presume there aren't too many of them around.

The Active LSD is really cool for high speed cornering, causing the back-end to quickly turn in so you can keep the power down.

Your right the Rom is a good upgrade for some people as i did lose power installing the standard one back in for a check, its just a matter of getting another standard unit now...

Macka are you running the stock turbo? If so I would have thought the thing woulda run outta puff at higher boost levels.

What does the dyno map do above 3500 RPM? Does it skyrocket or mystriously level off at some rev point?

What are the injectors doing (i.e duty cycle?) Fuel pressure? Is the pump suppling enough fuel? Fuel air mixtures may be deceiving. If for example the engine isn't keeping enough fuel in the combustion chamber the exhaust output appears rich.

Just some thoughts ......

Thanks for your interest Puckish

Look to the left at my avatar , that snail lives in my car!!

I have a large front mount and 550hp fuel pump

Injectors have a bit of headroom but i havent checked airflow % yet as i forgot...duh!

Gonna try at the drags tonight i have a special pair of slicks now curtesy of GTS-t VSPEC

It was an impressive run Macka, well done. I'm glad those racing slicks I gave you did the job, maybe I can line something better up for you next time. 12.98 will take some catching by the rest of us, but I'm prepared to bide my time until the bigger turbo is on.

Well done again, and nice to actually meet you.

PS: I'm not too impressd witht the 265's I put on, I still get shitloads of wheel-spin, maybe able to get some Potenza's for the drags, that should provide more grip.

Thanks...

how bout them bald Tyres. ey..

That was a freaky time ey...shocked me but she ran beautiful on 1Bar

Maybe the track was prepped better i managed a 2.254 60ft this time..

I thought id teach a V8 torry a lesson but he creamed me with a 12.5 hehe oh well

    • Be more active mate.. , not taking the piss ❤️, your long term health will love you for it I would think something like a kettle bell or 2 laying around in areas you go past during the day would be awesome for ADHD.... "Oh look, a kettlebell", and exercise helps your brain health as well My mates son was a bit of a problem child, diagnosed wirh ADHD, and some other things that had his brain occasionally doing loops, until we got him into a training program, the difference after he started training was amazing, he had more focus, and his fitness levels exploded, it is like he is a totally different kid to be around Brain chemistry something something Stay fit stay strong mate
    • I had never actually looked into it, but aren't onboard compressors a thing in trucks?
    • Read the ECU for fault codes or have someone else do it. A faulty coolant temperature sender is usually listed in ECUs. If the sensor itself is not busted it can also be a bad ground connection. Or in a really unlucky case, damaged wiring.
    • Can't be a Futjitsubo as those are made with a flex piece and Reimax is smaller in pipe diameter. If anything it is closest to a Mines pipe, but evidently it is not an actual Mines pipe.   Classic word humor
    • Alright I will try to not forget.   As GTSboy replied to you already, problem is mainly the mismatch between the actual exhaust part and the denomination in the papers. That basically just looks like tampering to a cop, if they were to check your car and notice. If it had been done right they would have clarified it to be a custom pipe and just given it a certain part number that you have to engrave or weld onto the pipe. I will definitely inquire on what to do. Changing the pipe wouldn't be my favorite solution as it costs a bunch of money and the cat was fitted with the front pipe and exhaust under the car, and if the front pipe flange does not sit in the OEM location the cat will need to be refit for any other pipe to work. It also usually doesn't need a brand name or something like that, but more something like a part number. Usually for exhaust parts, on silencers and cat units specifically, there is a badge that reads the certificate number that belongs to these exhaust parts under EU regulation. You get these numbers after you put a part or group of parts through the tedious testing according to EU vehicle legislation and they pass. You can find these "part numbers" on various parts throughout a EU vehicle. On windows, headlights, engine parts, seat belts and so on. All these parts have gone through standardized testing and acquired a so called ECE or EG Certificate that makes them legal to use by themselves in all countries that adhere to these standards. You can also not alter these parts in any way, if you do they become illegal. An example for stampings on an exterior lighting part, the people who need to know can find the documentation for this unit in a database. I do not know what all the standards and so on mean.
