WA Legal Exhaust

Hi Guys

Im about to replace the exhaust on my 15 year old R32 GTST to put it through the import/rego process. Currently it is a straight throught 4" exhaust which is louder than most racing cars

Any ideas on what to replace it with but still get it over the pits.

What do they look for. Is noise the only issue with the WA Rego people.

Im really after feed back from people who have actually taken their 15 year old R32s for a Import Rego Inspection.

For the ACT a 15year old car is something like 93 or 95db newer cars 91db hope that helps a bit

I got mine over with a 3 inch Kakimoto system, I think it was below 90DB, pretty quiet, have since cut a resonator out so its a tad louder....

If it is too close to the ground they will tell you. Not normally a problem in R32s as the system aren't designed the same way as S13s/WRXs where they hang low under the diff then out on an angle...

Either get a massive muffler and a couple of resonators or try and find a stock system to get you over and then modify the one you have once its licensed.

I had a bit of trouble with things I would never have guessed so the exhaust may be the least of your problems....

What sort of other things did they pick on.

I have a sports steering wheel. Should I expect an problems.
