hey people, i just got a new water pump for my skyline and opened the box and there is no gasket.. is this rite or am i gunna have to chase up a gasket??

I think it should've come with one. Generally they run a paper gasket.

my SR pump never came with a gasket, normally there is a little "trench" that runs around the outside. U just use a sealant like selleys....

RB engines from the factory don't have a w/pump gasket (same goes for the sump, rear crank seal housing and some others depending on the motor). Sealant is used instead and I'd recommend 3-Bond which is the same spec as the factory sealant.

Aftermarket w/pumps sometimes come with a gasket (RB30 types generally do, anyway), but genuine Nissan RB w/pumps don't (because the factory specs sealant instead).
