MrBlonde
It's clearly detailed in the ANDRA rule book section 4.4.7 Roll Bars / Cages. I had a quick look at the ANDRA site but couldn't find the PDF .. funny since I've got it on my desktop. The summary is that you require a 6 point welded rollcage if you run 10.999 or quicker. However if you have a street registered car with fixed steel roof with an unmodified monocoque construction you can get away with a half cage provided you run no quicker than 10.000 and under 140 MPH. Obviously for a street car the roll bar is much better. The rollcage can be from CM4130 or R531 or Mild steel. Obviously the dimensions of the tube are smaller for Chromoly. For the details of the constuction and tube sizes required you will need to refer to the ANDRA rulebook. The largest sizes required are 1 5/8" x .083" for CM4130 and 1 5/8" x 2.9mm for mild steel. Note that any Chromoly cage must be tech inspected before it is painted or it will not be accepted as CM (the ANDRA tech guy will examine the material for the CM4130 markings).
