Warning on panel beating

Just got my car back from a certain panel beater in freo (can i name the company admin guys?) and i was less than satisfied to say the least.

Basically they had my car for 2 and a half weeks (when they said it would only take 5 days) , and only got hold of the bumper late yesterday afternoon. Now.. fair enough if the bumper wasnt available, but its a 400r rear bumper.. probably the most popular bumper on skylines and i know of at least 5 places that have these in stock. Anyway, how hard is it to preorder a bumper, paint it, then ask me to come in and that way they need my car for a day TOPS. This is what gets me.. it was taking me bloody over 4 hours a day catching buses in the mean time.

AND.. when i get it back they havent even made my rear tail light flush with my boot and my rear pod isnt made flush with my new rear bar. When i was booked in .. the guy said it would be 'as good as new' bullsh#t to that i reckon. Why cant all places be like good workshops ie Hyperdrive, Genie etc..

Plus i noticed a few scratches on the bonnet that i don't remember being there before.

Insted of complaining to us on a forum go back and tell them you are unhappy with the work. i hear that works better

yeh i am going to. I picked the car up about 5 oclock tonight, im gunna call them or my insurance company tuesday when they open back up and let em know that the work is not done.

but i heard they did work. Oh well... least i got my car back. I had boost envy, i was driving a honda for a week and the rest of the time i had to scab lifts or catch the buses

if they wanna get all bullshit, take it up with consumer affairs or something.

I've only ever met one decent Panel Beaters in my life. EVERY other one either myself or friends have been to have been the dodgiest motherf*ckers around.

PS - Paull & Warner Smash Repairs in East Perth are the most professional bunch I've dealt with.

just wondering if you have Just Cars insurance and they sent you there cause i have been told by numerous people not jsut skyline owners that the guys Just Cars send you to don't do good jobs.

Nah mate.. ive got insurance with HBF. They are a HBF approved repairer (among others). I just picked them cause ive heard good things about their work, but i was obviously wrong

where do you guys think is best to get it fitted? i've heard a few mixed responses over the past few months :confused:
