How to get the Cam cover off

I have a slight problem

I know how to get the cover off, but one of the screws is buggered.

The allen key just rolls around inside.

How can I get the cover off if I cant get this one screw off?

Im considering drilling through it. Alternatively, I can just let my mechanic worry about it

Any ideas?

you could grind or file a line through the middle of the bolt head, and simply use a flathead screwdriver to undo it.

or use a solderign iron.. pu tit in the head, and heat it up...

Then put the bit in Tap It with hammer couple of times.. and it should work...

other then that, and the option above.. you can drill it out, and use ease outs or sumtin to get the rest of the bolt out..

You cant get anything in there to grab it with , if the allen key just rolls the only option is to drill the head off then pull the cover off then multy grips to get it out and use a new one .

measure the head of the bolt and use a drill a couple of sizes bigger so you destroy the head in order to get the cover off .

farking Allen keys all over the damn car. what was nissan thinking?

spark plug cover, timing belt cover, driveshaft to diff, head bolts....

All done

Cam cover is off. Compression test is done. Im happy.

New spark plugs coming soon, once I get my PFC, cam gears, exhaust and oil cooler
