krzysiu
Hey guyz. this is not a big deal but still i hate it when things are not right. Sometimes when i let down the handbrake the handbrake light on the dash still lights up. Sometimes it goes off when i drop it but sometimes it stays on for the whole time im driving. Anyone else had this problem? and a sloution to it... without cutting the cables Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68424-annoying/ Share on other sites
cowie165
As a quick guess, do you need to lubricate the switch (the one next to the handbrake with the spring)? It may be getting sticky and not operating properly by returning to the 'off' position once the handbrake is lowered. It's in the coloured box (in the attachment). edit: you can't see it (the switch) in the pic (it's for indicative purposes only ), but if you take the console out (~5mins max) that's where the switch is on the R32. I'd expect it to be in the same spot on your car too. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68424-annoying/#findComment-1269080 Share on other sites
silver gts-t
i dont know bout this but worth a post. never noticed this with a skyline, but with some cars when the light stays on it can also mean brake fluid low. dont quote me, just a thought Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68424-annoying/#findComment-1269081 Share on other sites
cowie165
Funny you say that silver, my brother-in-law had an R32 GTSt that had that light on for 3 months. After he ran up the ar$e of another car at traffic lights, he noted he had very very low brake fluid.
