BU5TER
After spending all day Saturday at powercruise I have to say what an awesome event, it was great seeing Paul and Stace, Adrian and a few other SAU guys I for one can't wait for next year and will be the first to enter Congrats to the Skyline people for having a go and doing imports proud Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68471-powercruise/ Share on other sites
Morgs
I saw a few of the guys out there on Friday I was with the red RX7 with gold FRs. The Friday was poorly organised, rules were very strictly enforced and not as good as we expected. I didn't go the rest of the weekend, but I've heard it was a hell of alot better! Except for one Ferrari driver Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68471-powercruise/#findComment-1269738 Share on other sites
BU5TER
For sure Morgs we were standing straight across from where he hit the wall, probably not the best event I've been to from a spectators point of view but as a entrant I think it would rock Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68471-powercruise/#findComment-1269740 Share on other sites
NXTIME
I was also there on Friday and wasn't impressed at all with the organisation nor the marshalls' one-eyed view towards certain cars. Good to hear that things got better over the weekend. What happened with this Ferrari? Pics? Alf
I did the road trip and have to say it was well worth it. The number of high quality and big dollar cars was much more than the previous 2 powercruises held in QLD, sorry Qlder's but it's true. The program was on schedule if you were a Queenslander (laid back as usual) but alot of the sydneysiders were annoyed as things didnt run by NSW times. It wasn't the best time to have the event due to the royal easter show in syd, easternats in vic and cruisetime in qld all happening at the same time. But at the end of the event I left grinning as I discovered some of the secrets of the VL "PSI" with the 712rwhp RB30DET Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68471-powercruise/#findComment-1270310 Share on other sites
Guest DIRTgarage
But at the end of the event I left grinning as I discovered some of the secrets of the VL "PSI" with the 712rwhp RB30DET and guess who smashed the 712rwhp VL in the Street Racing event......owned!!! no point having over 700bhp and not being able to use it. By the way thats a great photo showing how properly set-up drag suspension should work. also ....Duncan i was always a circuit racer, so i should have an idea on cornering. Will have my first "real" go at drag racing on the 9th at Compak Attak. TWO.06L was just fine....however the BA Falcon wagon was out of fuel. Lucky we were carrying fuel drums and refilled it there. 2rismo
What do ya know - the SAU representation at a circuit was made up entirely of drag racers... You circuit types really couldn't organise a root in a brothel could ya? I had a ball and I'm stoked that I now have a power figure for 2RISMO the dirty nitrous cheaterer. And that should be, "The secrets of the 737hp VL, PSI." What a weapon.
