April 3rd Driftzone Q1 series 2005

Our next Drift Competition will be held THIS Sunday 3rd April at Queensland Raceway Ipswich. Yes I know this is posted late and quite close to the event, but I wanted to leave it till after Cruzetime Drift Comp yesterday as to not compete with it or get anyone confused.

Gates will open at midday and we expect to hit the circuit at 1pm. Competitors, as per usual if you could get there a little early for signup and to get prepared, would be appreciated. Entry is $100 for competitors, spectators $10 ea.

This will be the second round of the Q1 series, and the points table from Round 1 is viewable on www.driftzone.com. Competition will be run on the fast track, Turns 1 and 2 then right, through the infield as per normal. We will also be running the smaller track all day for those not in the Comp. We will be running both tracks for everybody up until 3.00pm when the Comp commences.

More media coverage than ever before will be in attendance as Drift as a sport is taking off around Australia and around the world. Queensland Raceway themselves have a new show on TV called “Revcentral” and they will be up there filming for that, so make sure you wear your best clobber and scrub up a bit. Brush your hair too.

As this is only round 2, the QLD Title is still up for grabs to anyone who wants to give it a shot. But if what you want to do is come out have a thrash and play around, then this is the place to do that too!!
